MiniStation™ Metro - HD-PXU2
Users with voluminous amounts of data on their hands can rely on portable hard drives as a solution. For the practical data consumer who guzzles up gigabytes of data on a regular basis, Buffalo has a solution, and it comes in two flavors.
The first, Buffalo Ministation Metro, touts a rubberized chassis and comes equipped with BumperBody shock absorbers to ensure that data is always protected, even during accidental hits and falls. But aside from protecting the physical unit itself, it also ensures that data inside the hard drive is secure from unwanted intrusion, through a 256-AES hardware encryption that can be toggled on or off, depending on preference. All data stored on the Ministation Metro is automatically protected by this robust security system.
The Ministation Cobalt, on the other hand, is the best portable hard drive for backup purposes, as it comes with Memeo AutoSync software that automatically syncs the hard drive with PCs and Macs, ensuring files are up-to-date. Users will also experience faster data transfer rates with its TurboUSB functionality, while data is kept secured through Buffalo’s SecureLock Mobile application. The MiniStation Cobalt comes in Blue, Red, and White colors.
Buffao’s portable hard drives are exclusively distributed by MSI-ECS. Ministation Metro comes in 320GB (P4,500) and 500GB (P6,250) capacities, while the Ministation Cobalt ships at 320GB (P4,000) and 500GB (P5,600) storage sizes. – John Mark V. Tuazon
