Industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation recently announced its new line of UPS (uninterruptible power supply) aimed at promoting green efficiency in IT environments.
The Eaton 9130 UPS, which come in 700 to 3000 VA models, feature a 0.9 output power factor best for equipment with a wide range of leading and lagging power factors. The company shared that the new UPS product is ideal for servers, networking equipment, telecommunications, Voice over IP (VoIP) and security systems.
“The greening of power while ensuring reliability is a key concern in today’s IT environment. Eaton’s 9130 has been specifically designed to meet the needs of our customers by delivering high power availability while using an exceptionally efficient design,” said Bernard Lee, AC Product Manager for South East Aisa.
Eaton said the 9130 is highly efficient by operating at almost 95 power efficiency, thereby reducing heat and expensive cooling costs.
With intuitive power management software, the unit continually is able to check power conditions by regulating both voltage and frequency to provide the correct power that modern equipment requires.
“Customers will find the Eaton 9130 one of the most energy intelligent UPSs on the market today that offers not only smart energy management, but also provides the highest level of power protection that today’s IT infrastructures require,” Lee added.
Meanwhile, the company said Eaton’s ABM technology incorporates a sensing circuitry and an innovative three-stage charging technique that significantly extends the service of the UPS batteries while optimizing recharge time. The unit also comes with four external battery modules that can be added to run connected systems for hours during a power outage, it added. — John Mark V. Tuazon
