pd41_app12After gathering growth momentum from its industrial printer line, Intermec Technologies recently upgraded its printer offerings, promising increased memory, stronger network security, and a new, all-in-one printer programming language for standalone printing purposes.

The new printers, according to the vendor, feature a Smart Printing Technology that eliminates the need for a host computer, transforming the printer into a standalone machine running custom applications.

Coupled with a new printer programming language design and integrated SmartSystems remote management software, the new printers allow for a seamless deployment and integration with existing Intermec hardware and environments.
“For decades businesses have purchased Intermec technology because of its strength, intelligence and security,” said Tom Roth, director of Intermec Printer Marketing. “These impressive enhancements illustrate Intermec’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations by delivering solutions that meet the need for rugged, multi-functional, highly reliable printing.”
The new printers’ metal construction and enhanced label self-strip feature ensure durability and long-duty cycles on times steady performance is needed the most. Aside from that, the PD41, PD42, PF2i, PF4i, PM4i, PX4i and PX6i models support highly secure (WPA2) wireless connectivity, and are the only Cisco CCX and Wi-Fi certified industrial printers available on the market. The same models also support IPv4 and IPv6 network protocols. – John Mark V. Tuazon
