Those who can’t wait to get their hands on the newest version of Microsoft Office can tide their thirsts over for tech by buying the commercially-available Microsoft Office 2007, which Microsoft promises to replace with a free upgrade once Office 2010 becomes available in June.
Through the Microsoft Office 2010 Tech Guarantee program, those who purchase an Office 2007 release from March 5 to September 30 2010 are entitled for the free upgrade, for so long as they create a Windows Live ID and redeem the Tech Guarantee online (www.office.com/techg) before October 31, 2010.
The upgrade will be shipped online via a software download, at no extra cost.
Following the announcement of the Office 2010 launch, Microsoft said other software essentials—such as Sharepoint 2010, Visio 2010 and Project 2010—will be released to manufacturing next month.
Release of said products is pinned on May 12 worldwide, according to Microsoft. – John Mark V. Tuazon
