Poised from triumphs with their consumer electronics line in the past years, technology provider Samsung released on Thursday a host of offerings for enterprise IT users, gearing up to dominate the LCD monitors, printers, and projectors market by the end of the year.
Eric Sulit, head of Samsung’s IT division, shared that last year, Samsung led the pack of LCD monitors and large-format display providers, while coming in at a close second for the printers category.
“We are looking at a bright future for these products this year,” Sulit shared. “Our current lineup boasts of latest technological innovation and a keen attention to detail.”
Among the products launched during the event is Samsung’s monitors line, which is composed of its mainstream Series 30 monitors and the upscale Series 70 LED monitors. The Series 30 monitors measure 15.6 inches and include a host of “magic” features, such as: the Magic Eco, with four options for power saving; the Magic Angle, which automatically adjusts the display depending on height; and the Magic Bright 3, which adjusts brightness, contrast, and gamma correction settings on a single click.
The Series 70 LED monitor, on the other hand, comes in a 23-inch package that is full HD and HDMI-ready, and uses SRGB color schemes similarly found in most video-capturing devices. It also boasts of a mega-dynamic contrast ratio and a two millisecond response time, all while saving on at least 40% of power, the company claimed.
The S30 monitors come in 15.6-(P5,500), 18.5-(P6,400) and 19-(P7,200) inch sizes, while the 23-inch LED monitor retails for P18,000.
Samsung’s printer line, meanwhile, are headlined by its new mono laser and multi-functional printers that offer more than just the standard printing features. For one, the ML series—in 1915 and 2525 models—allow users to print whatever is on their computer screens at the touch of a button. Samsung also debuted a nifty browser plugin called AnyWeb Print, which enables users to select a certain portion of a website for printing.
The multi-function printers line includes the printer-scanner-copier-fax machine models of SCX-4600/4623F and SCX-5635FN, and the unique SF-650P which has a phone handset installed into the machine.
Lastly, Samsung aims to make a dent on the multimedia projector market with its new offerings targeted at different kinds of users.
The SP-P410M LED pocket projector comes at a compact size of 14.75 x 14.55 x 6.63 centimeters, making it a perfect solution for presenters on the go. Its 170 ANSI lumens and 1000:1 contrast ratio delivers up to 30,000 hours of LED lamp life in a brilliant display, which can range from 30 to 300 inches.
The SP-M220/250 models, on the other hand, are perfect for multimedia presenters with a large audience, owing to its 2,500 (M250) and 2,200 (M22) ANSI Lumens that project a brighter-than-normal display perfect for large gatherings, even when the lights are on.
The SP-A800 projector—the largest in the bunch—is ideal for home theater setups, according to Samsung executives. It is a full HD projector that projects videos of up to 24 frames per second, similar to those used in theater movies.
The M-series project retail for around P39,900, while the pocket projector debuts at about P29,900. Users interested to purchase the SP-A800 projector, on the other hand, should be prepared to shell out P180,000 for each unit.
